I had the best time at Nikko it was the highlight of my trip.
The staff was great and friendly, and Yoga has become apart of my lifestyle now. The Vegan dinner was good, I was very suprised by it. Access to Nikko Park was a nice nature walk and there Onsen (hot spring) is very relaxing. Also there is a bridge on the way to the Onsen with a water fall I recommend climbing down and sitting on the rock in the middle of the stream and medating in at like 10:30 - 11:am as the sun hits you directly.
The place is a bit quiet but I didn't have any trouble making friends and drinking a ton of sake! I eneded up shutting the place down, as all the staff went to bed and turned off the lights while I was the last person awake to turn off the music and the front lights. hahah!
Nikko is a budget place so don't expect too much on accomidations, but the atmosphere is peaceful, something I haven't experienced in over 5 years.

Dont panick about your sendals! We are also from Holland and going to Japan. We're going to find your sendals and bring them back for you. For that, could you please give us some extra details about the shoes. Like where you lost them, or what size? We going to start the investigation, when we arrive in Nikko. Untill then, please stay calm en try to think about something else. We let you know when we made some progress.

I just wanted to say Thank You for such a great stay at Nikko Park Lodge. We loved the warm atmosphere in the lodge and the walks around the area. My only suggestion (from my daughter) is to take a taxi initially from the train station because although it is not very far away, it is all uphill and seems like a long ways when you are walking with suitcases (esp in the dark). I plan to return in the future and stay here again. Thank you.

I just wanted to say thank you for the hospitality! Nikko Park Lodge is full of friendly staff and lots of charm! It was a highlight of my trip to Nikko.
And advice to those trying to book a reservation: Call the office (maybe through skype if you're not in Japan). They can confirm you in 3 seconds that way.

I was in the lodge on Oct 18. The staff is so friendly and nice! We love the atmosphere, as well as, the room!
We got the roof room, which has 2 floors. It was superb! It's really cute, clean, convenient and nice! Can't describe anything more.
I will recommend your place to friends whoever plan to visit Nikko!

Hi, I left my flipflops and sandals in the Nikko Park lodge last month. Both Teva, the flipflops are orange and the sandals bleu. You can throw them away or do with it what you like as I am in Holland now so I cannot pick them up :)
